PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR. For the duration of this Collective Agreement and recognizing the issue of attracting new Public Health Inspectors, it is understood that the Employer may pay newly hired employees a wage rate at any one of the Levels notwithstanding Article 13.02. XXXXXX HEALTH UNIT AND THE CANADIAN UNION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES AND ITS LOCAL 841 MARKET ADJUSTMENT FOR PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTORS This Letter will be deleted pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement as follows: Effective April 1, 2018 and following the application of any general wage increase, the $1.20 will then be rolled into all the wage rate Levels for the Public Health Inspector. This Letter will then be deemed deleted from the Collective Agreement. Having determined that there is a temporary need to attract Public Health Inspectors to the Elgin St. Xxxxxx Health Unit, and Having agreed that the Employer wishes to provide a temporary adjustment to all Public Health Inspectors employed at the Health Unit during the period covered by this Letter of Understanding, in order to recruit and retain qualified employees, The parties hereby agree:

  • Public Health Public Health activities and reporting to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (a) If the Contactor is a Business Associate under the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), as noted in this Contract, the Contractor must comply with all terms and conditions of this Section of the Contract. If the Contractor is not a Business Associate under HIPAA, this Section of the Contract does not apply to the Contractor for this Contract.

  • Public Hearings If public hearings on the scope of work are held during the period of the Agreement, Contractor will make available to testify the personnel assigned to this Agreement. The Energy Commission will reimburse Contractor for compensation and travel of the personnel at the Agreement rates for the testimony which the Energy Commission requests.

  • Function of Joint Health and Safety Committee All incidents involving aggression or violence shall be brought to the attention of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. The Employer agrees that the Joint Health and Safety Committee shall concern itself with all matters relating to violence to staff.

  • Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act The following clauses apply to any Federal-aid construction contract in an amount in excess of $100,000 and subject to the overtime provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. These clauses shall be inserted in addition to the clauses required by 29 CFR 5.5(a) or 29 CFR 4.6. As used in this paragraph, the terms laborers and mechanics include watchmen and guards.

  • Drug Free Workplace Act The Contractor will assure a drug-free workplace in accordance with 45 CFR Part 76.
