Common use of Public Emergencies Clause in Contracts

Public Emergencies. The Employer agrees to provide employees who have permanent status and who are members of the Wisconsin National Guard or the Wisconsin State Guard, who are called into state active duty service to meet situations arising from war, riot, public emergency or are called into service to prepare for anticipated emergencies the right to elect to receive pay from the state pursuant to s. 20.465(1)(c), Wis. Stats., in an amount equal to his/her base state salary for such period of State active duty in lieu of the service pay, including allowances, the employee would normally receive as a member of the National or State Guard.
