Psychiatrists. Consultant psychiatrists shall be paid an additional 15% on the base salary prescribed as applicable. By agreement with the hospital or health service concerned, consultant psychiatrists may also be provided with up to one and a half days paid time or three sessions per week for agreed special research interests. The research shall reflect priority areas relevant to the hospital / health service or State.

Psychiatrists. (a) The psychiatrists allowance of 15% of base salary prescribed under the industrial agreement replaced by this industrial agreement shall be struck as a fixed rate, as at the date of commencement, and shall be continue to be paid at that rate until 30 September 2008.

Psychiatrists. The parties agree that Psychiatrists shall be eligible, on an annual basis, for paid education leave for Continuing Medical Education (CME) training in an amount not to exceed forty hours and will be eligible for up to $1,000.00 for CME related reimbursable expenses. Only the CME training time and/or the applicable, related travel that is completed during regular scheduled working hours, (typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:0 p.m.) will be eligible. (Note: Weekend CME activity including travel will not be considered work time and will not count towards compensatory time off or overtime.) Application for CME training, including home study courses, etc., shall be made to, and is subject to advance approval by, the Medical Director and verification of the completed CME hours will be required. All CME related reimbursements must adhere to the standards provided in the County Travel Policy. Requests to use paid education leave time must be made on approved department forms. When paid education leave time is coded on a timecard the employee will attach documentation showing proof of attendance. Documentation must include an agenda from the class attended or description of the class attended AND one of the following: a copy of the completion certificate a receipt from the class attended a receipt from a home study course that includes the number of hours completed

Psychiatrists. Review and confirm information on Medical History Questionnaire; review assessment information and diagnosis; make note of all diagnostic changes in progress notes. Advise consumer of medication side effects and contraindications. Consult with Remote site staff and HUB site staff in order to provide continuity of care and professionalism. Provide prescriptions for psychotropic medications as needed. Provide psychiatric services via teleconferencing modality. Follow Medication Monitoring Plan per Kings View policy. Site Coordinators: Organize consumers’ charts, appointments, and evaluations. Assist doctors with needs. Fax and post records and organize all statistical data. Facilitate all critical care issues with consumers, doctors and remote site providers. Executive Director for Telepsychiatry: Assist with problem solving, consumer care, agreement questions (i.e., contract terms), compliance issues and facilitation of ongoing service provision and new subscribers. Supervise or facilitate all training at new sites, site visits and evaluation reviews. Submit all monthly statistical data to Executive Director for County.
Psychiatrists. A. SAN Psychiatrists shall be available for four (4) eight (8) hour (or longer) shifts per month. In the following situation the requirement for doing 4 shifts per month will be waived: The SAN psychiatrist does a total of 2 shifts, if each shift is either a weekend, AHS holiday or night shift.

Part-time, Mental Health Psychiatrists on permanent status working at least 16 hours per week may be allowed up to 3 days or 24 hours per year of in-service training and three days or 24 hours per year outside training for continuing education purposes. Approval of Continuing Medical Education shall not be unreasonably denied.
