PROVINCIAL FUNDING. 8.1 British Columbia agrees to pay tuition to First Nations in respect of students not ordinarily resident on reserve lands who are enrolled in a First Nation School that has been certified through the FNSA School Assessment Process, and who would otherwise qualify for tuition at a BC Public School, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding dated November 6, 2009 regarding reciprocal tuition.

During each year of the Implementation Period, in the event that the amount payable by the Province for the NISA program is less than funding level set by the Province for that purpose, the Province shall contribute the difference to the Business Risk Management Account. No contribution shall be made in into the Business Risk Management Account if the amount in the Business Risk Management Account will exceed $30,000,000.

PROVINCIAL FUNDING. Provincial funding is equal to 62% of the total program funding amount and is flowed by NRH to the proponent(s) with the first payment being made upon occupancy. These affordability payments will be flowed on a monthly basis during the 20-year affordability period and are to be used to service and discharge the portion of the proponent’s mortgage which is equal to the provincial contribution. ❖ Project Development Funding Project Development Funding (PDF) of up to $150,000 is available to both private and non-profit developers for technical pre-development activities. For the purposes of the AHP, eligible PDF expenditures include: • Fees/costs for professional and technical services including architectural, environmental engineering, planning, real estate, appraisal, mortgage brokerage, and legal; and • Other technical costs as determined by the Province. The maximum allowable amount of PDF to be allocated to a project is $150,000. PDF cannot exceed the federal contribution to the project and is considered part of the overall AHP funding. PDF funding can be flowed to successful proponents upon signing a Contribution Agreement with NRH.
PROVINCIAL FUNDING. If during the term of the Collective Agreement, the Ministry of Education provides additional grants to the Employer designated specifically for a support staff salary increase beyond the agreed upon annual salary increase in this agreement, then the parties will reopen the Collective Agreement in order to flow such additional funds as wages to Local 4400 members.
