Protective Wrapping. As required, special plastic sleeves or envelopes shall be slipped over the pipe and sealed together with plastic adhesive tape. Care shall be exercised such that these sleeves shall be intact and sealed together when backfill is placed, and during the backfill operation, likewise, care shall be taken not to puncture the material.
