Protective Services. The cost of supple- mental protective services paid by the Au- thority for the protection of persons and property;

Protective Services. Employees who have completed their formal training program shall have their salary advanced by one step within the Security Officer range. Upon successful completion of the Formal Security Officer Training Program, Officers hired, after date of ratification, will progress through the salary progression stages as indicated in the salary tables at the back of the agreement until they reach the top step provided the employee’s job requirements are performed satisfactorily. Protective Services. (8.3, 8.4, and 8.5): These services include protection for clients who are isolated and homebound due to health conditions; who suffer from depression and other psychological problems; individuals who have been harmed, or threatened with harm (physical or mental) by other persons or by their own actions; or those whose cognitive functioning is impaired to the extent they require assistance and support in making and carrying out decisions regarding personal finances.

Protective Services. Public Works; Employees shall be recalled within their department in the order of their seniority, where jobs become available, provided they have the ability and qualifications to perform such jobs. The Employer shall give notice of recall by registered mail to the last recorded address of the employee. The employee shall keep the Employer advised at all times of his current address. The employee shall return to work within ten from the time that he receives notice of recall unless, on reasonable grounds, he is unable to do so. No new employees shall be hired within a department until those laid off from the same department have been given the opportunity of recall. With reference to re-appointment of an Employee after a lay-off, his employment in the position held by him at the time he was laid off and his employment in the position to which he is appointed shall constitute continuous employment provided such re-appointment is within a period of twelve (12) months. Where an Employee ceases to be employed for reasons other than dismissal, abandonment of position or rejection on probation, and is re-employed within a period of twelve months those benefits which he has earned as a result of his past service with the Employer shall be reinstated. However, he shall not accumulate such benefits the period he was not employed by the An employee who wilfully terminates his employment as a result of a misunderstanding or argument shall be allowed to return to work and remain employed if he does so within three (3) days. Should the Employer refuse to allow the employee to return to work, the termination shall be considered as a discharge effective the date that the employee sought to return to work and may be grieved as a discharge. An employee may make use of the off provision once per calendar year.

Protective Services. The local police department and the county prosecutor's office are available on request and, subject to the availability of resources, to provide protective services to any victim or potential victim of a hate crime. The police department and the prosecutor's office agree to take such steps as are necessary and appropriate in the circumstances to prevent further violence or harm committed against a victim, or to prevent a violent retaliation or any other physical or psychological harm directed against any student or any person. The responding law enforcement officer shall evaluate the circumstances of the suspected or confirmed hate crime or bias-related act and shall immediately report to his or her superiors the need for providing any such protective services to or on behalf of any victim or potential victim.
