PROTECTION OF HUMAN HEALTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT. The State of South Carolina requires all contractual activities to be in compliance with local, state, and federal mandates concerning "protection of human health and the environment". Any contractor doing business with the State will be required to document compliance and to specify prudent practices used by the contractor to address applicable mandates including, but not restricted to "the hazard communication standard" OSHA CFR 1910.1200 (SCRR Article 1,711910.1200). Contractor agrees to take all necessary steps to ensure compliance with the requirements applicable to Contractor and the Services it provides. PURCHASE ORDERS (JAN 2006) Contractor shall not perform any work prior to the receipt of a purchase order from the State Agency/Using Governmental Unit. The State Agency/Using Governmental Unit shall order any supplies or services to be furnished under this contract by issuing a purchase order. Purchase orders may be used to elect any options available under this contract, e.g., quantity, item, delivery date, payment method, but are subject to all terms and conditions of this contract. Purchase orders may be electronic. No particular form is required. An order placed pursuant to the purchasing card provision qualifies as a purchase order. NOTE: Any Order placed by a South Carolina Using Government Unit, for any product or service available under this agreement shall be deemed to be a sale under (and governed by the prices and other terms and conditions) this Participating Addendum of the Master Agreement unless the parties to the order agree in writing that another contract or agreement applies to such order. Orders can be made out to (a) Contractor or (b) Authorized Dealers as approved by Contractor and State Procurement Services. To the extent the Contractor agree on additional terms, the terms will be documented on the Purchasing Entity Order, and signed by both parties. All orders should contain the following (1) “PO is subject to NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement, Contract #140604, and the Participating Addendum, State assigned Contract Number” (2) Purchasing Entity Name, Address, Contact, & Phone-Number (3) Order amount (4) Type of Order (Purchase, Lease, Cost per Copy Option, other authorized products and services), purchase amount, monthly payment amount, itemized list of accessories, type of Service program and rates and, (7) applicable supplemental documents, including Service Level Agreement, Exhibits or Attachments that apply.   • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.
