PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS. (a) To establish eligibility to take the promotional examination for Lieutenant, a member shall be required to have five three (53) years of continuous service in the Tiverton Fire Department prior to the date of such examination. To establish eligibility to take a promotional examination for a position above the rank of Lieutenant, a member shall be required at least one (1) year of continuous service in the rank below which a member is testing for.
