Professional Teaching Fellows. Advancement across the steps shall be the decision of the employer in accordance with the promotions procedures Senior Lecturers Except for crossing the bar at step 5, advancement to the next step in the grade shall occur after 12 months on the previous step, subject to a statement signed by the academic head and xxxx confirming satisfactory performance in accordance with the Schedule of Duties (Schedule 1) and the standards contained in the ‘Academic Standards’ HR Policy (“Standards Policy”). Where approval is withheld the staff member must be provided with details of the unsatisfactory performance and remedial action agreed. Advancement across the bar at step 5 shall be the decision of the employer.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES The Board and the Association acknowledge that a teacher’s primary responsibility is to provide learning experiences and that his energies should be channeled into this responsibility to the fullest extent. Therefore, they agree:

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect during the designated periods.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of at least two (2) representatives of the Association and an equal number of representatives from the Hospital. Each party may have alternates to replace a member from time to time.
