Common use of Professional Improvement Leave Clause in Contracts

Professional Improvement Leave. A maximum of two (2) days per contract year, not to be charged to the individual employee’s Discretionary Leave, may be used by each employee for his/her professional improvement. Professional improvement days may be used for any educational purpose at the discretion of the employee. The employee planning to use professional improvement days shall notify the Director and his/her building administrator at least one (1) week in advance of his/her absence.
