Common use of Privacy Rights Clause in Contracts

Privacy Rights. The Parties agree that Employees are entitled to a reasonable level of personal privacy in the workplace. To that end the Employer and the Union shall not open an Employee’s mail or access an Employee’s personal property. Further, any personal information gathered on Employees shall only be gathered for legitimate business reasons and such information shall be protected as confidential as per the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
