Common use of Principal Replacement Calls Clause in Contracts

Principal Replacement Calls. Each musical and dramatic production employing Principal performers shall conduct not less than one day of principal replacement calls at least every 12 months after the first anniversary date of the first paid public performance, unless the production has announced its closing date in which case there shall be no requirement to hold such replacement calls. The Auditions will be conducted by the Producer, director, assistant director, any author and/or professional casting director designated in writing by the Producer. The Producer is under no obligation to hire any person pursuant to any replacement call procedures including the procedures for Equity performers set forth herein.
