Common use of Prevention and Suppression Clause in Contracts

Prevention and Suppression. During the Term of this Contract, PURCHASER must make every effort to prevent and suppress fires within the Timber Sale Area. Unless otherwise required herein, or prevented by circumstances, over which PURCHASER has no control, PURCHASER must place its equipment, employees, contractors, and employees of contractors at the disposal of any authorized government employee for the purpose of fighting forest fires within or near the Timber Sale Area.
