President and. Upon application in by the Union on behalf of the employee to the Hospital, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted to such to the position of the President of the Ontario Council of Unions or the of the Ontario Council of Unions for of up to two (2)years. is understood, however, that during such leave the shall be deemed to be an employee of the Union. There shall be no loss of or seniority during such leave of absence and the employee shall accumulate service and seniority on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been. During such leave of absence, the employee's and applicable benefits be maintained by the Hospital on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been,provided that the Union reimburses the Hospital in the of such salary and benefits within thirty (30) days of billing. The employee agrees to the Hospital of his intention to return to at four (4) weeks prior to the date of such return. The employee be returned to his former duties on the same shift in the same department and at the appropriate rate of pay, subject to any changes which would have occurred had the employee not been on leave. Notwithstanding the Hospital may the vacancy resulting from such leave on a temporary basis."
