Prepare Record Drawings Clause Samples
The "Prepare Record Drawings" clause requires the contractor or design professional to create and submit accurate, up-to-date drawings that reflect all changes made during construction. These drawings, often called "as-built" drawings, document modifications, field adjustments, and deviations from the original plans, ensuring that the final set of documents matches the completed project. By mandating the preparation of record drawings, this clause ensures that the owner and future stakeholders have a reliable reference for maintenance, renovations, or repairs, thereby reducing confusion and potential errors in the future.
