Observing critical variables over time will yield valuable information regarding equipment deterioration. The preventive maintenance frequency may be increased or decreased, depending on the condition of the equipment found during a predictive maintenance inspection. Use of the preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, in conjunction with the monitoring of operational data that reflect equipment condition, will result in high reliability and reduced maintenance costs.
