Pre-Existing Units Sample Clauses
The Pre-Existing Units clause defines how units, assets, or components that existed prior to the commencement of an agreement are treated within the contract. Typically, this clause clarifies whether such units are included in the scope of work, subject to warranties, or excluded from certain obligations. For example, in a construction or supply contract, it may specify that only newly provided units are covered by the contractor’s warranty, while pre-existing ones remain the responsibility of the owner. This clause ensures clarity regarding the allocation of responsibility and risk for items that were already in place before the contract began, preventing disputes over coverage and obligations.
