Common use of Pre-Approval Clause in Contracts

Pre-Approval. Application for reimbursement shall be prepared on a form provided by the MTA Department of Human Resources. Courses require pre-approval by the MTA Department of Human Resources and the Appointing Officer (or designee), neither of which shall be unreasonably denied. Such application for tuition reimbursement shall be made prior to the date of enrollment in the course and, if approved by MTA Department of Human Resources and the Appointing Officer (or designee), reimbursement shall be subject to successful completion of the course. No reimbursement shall be made if the Employee is eligible to receive reimbursement for said tuition under a federal or State Veterans benefit program from other public funds.
