Power Management Requirements. Shipment Requirement: Products must be shipped with the display’s Sleep mode set to activate within 15 minutes of user inactivity. all products, except for desktop-derived servers which are exempt from this requirement, must be shipped with a Sleep mode which is set to activate within 30 minutes of user inactivity. Products may have more than one low power mode but these proposed criteria address Sleep mode as defined in this specification. Computers shall reduce the speed of any active 1 Gb/s Ethernet network links when transitioning to Sleep or Standby. all computers, regardless of distribution channel, shall have the ability to enable and disable WOL for Sleep mode. Systems shipped through enterprise channels must have Wake On LaN (WOL) enabled from the Sleep mode when operating on ac power (i.e. notebooks may automatically disable WOL when operating on their portable power sources).
