Postdoctoral Fellow. A Postdoctoral Fellow must hold a PhD or equivalent qualification. They will work on project/s requiring a significant degree of skill, initiative, independence and originality of thought, which creatively extends the bounds of knowledge. The employment of a Postdoctoral Fellow is fixed term because it is always dependent on research project funding streams. The fixed term of employment can be up to five years, dependent on the length of the research project and the availability of funding.

Postdoctoral Fellow. The Certificate Program will provide an annual postdoctoral fellowship in History for the academic years running from Fall 20 I 8 through Spring 2020. The ostdoctoral Fellow will be affiliated with the Certificate Program and will engage in research and teaching that advances the Cettificate Program's Mission. Individuals selected for the postdoctoral fellowship may hold the fellowship for consecutive terms. Undergraduate Support The Certificate Program will provide opportunities for undergraduates including, but not limited to, assistantships, research fellowships, internships, speaker series, and reading groups. Certificate Program Support The University will provide the Certificate Program with office space, furniture, and information technology support for its operational needs. The Certificate Program will host research workshops, conferences, and lectures that improve and disseminate the Certificate Program's research and contribute to broader academic literature and discussions.

Postdoctoral Fellow. Employees who qualify for pregnancy and/or parental leave(s) in accordance with the Nova Scotia Labour Standards Code, are eligible to receive supplemental parental leave benefits for up to twenty-six (26) weeks. The benefit payable by the Employer shall be the difference between 100% of the minimum floor salary stipulated in Appendix A and the amount the Postdoctoral Fellow Employee receives from all other combined sources (including but not limited to Employment Insurance Benefits, and/or parental leave supplementary benefits funded by an external source or agency).
