Porting Clause Samples
The Porting clause defines the rights and procedures for transferring a service, number, or asset from one provider or platform to another. Typically, it outlines the conditions under which porting can occur, such as notice requirements, technical compatibility, and any associated fees or restrictions. For example, in telecommunications, this clause would govern how a customer can move their phone number to a new carrier. Its core function is to ensure a clear and fair process for transitioning services or assets, minimizing disruption and protecting the interests of both parties during the transfer.
