Port Security Clause Samples

The Port Security clause establishes requirements and procedures to ensure the safety and security of vessels, cargo, and personnel while in port. It typically mandates compliance with local and international port security regulations, such as the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, and may require the sharing of security-related information or cooperation with port authorities. By setting clear expectations for security measures, this clause helps prevent unauthorized access, theft, or sabotage, thereby protecting assets and ensuring smooth port operations.
