Picnic Day. All employees including casuals, employed on construction sites and other agreed sites, will be entitled to attend the Picnic Day without loss of pay provided that proof of attendance (supplied at the picnic) where practicable is given to the employer.
Picnic Day. The Building Industry Picnic Day is held the first Monday of December every year. Provided however that within a radius of 80 kms of Albury/Wodonga and Mildura the Picnic day will be the second Monday in December. All employees, whether apprentices, casuals or part time or full time employee/s will be entitled to attend the picnic without deduction of pay. Any employee working on this day will be paid at double time and a half calculated on the hourly rate, provided that an employee who attends work on this day will be paid for not less than four hours work. An Enterprise may request employee/s to produce the butt of the picnic ticket. Where such a request is made the Enterprise is not required to pay the employee’s wages for picnic day except where the employee produces the butt of the picnic ticket. Subject to Union approval Picnic Day will not be transferred.
Picnic Day. 24.1 All employees are entitled to an unpaid picnic day, on the first Monday in December each year.
Picnic Day. Consistent with the terms of the award, the company may request from an employee proof of picnic day attendance, i.e. current union membership card is proof. No work shall be scheduled on the first Monday of December each year, which is the Annual Building and Construction Industry Picnic Day or another day, by agreement with the union. Casuals who have been engaged for more than 3 months are entitled to payment. In the case of an emergency, or due to the principal contractors requirements, union members will receive the rate of double time and a half for working on that day.

By agreement between the Employer and an Employee, Picnic Day may be substituted for another day. Where this occurs, the Employee shall work on the Picnic Day and take a substitute paid Picnic Day off in the current work cycle. An Employee cannot be forced to work on picnic day.

Picnic Day. The first Monday in December each year will be the union picnic day in Victoria, except Mildura. The second Monday in December will be the union picnic day within 25 kilometres of Mildura. All employees will, as far as practicable, be given and will take this day as picnic day without deduction of pay. Any employee required to work on this day will be paid at the rate of double time and a half provided that an employee who attends for work as required on this day will be paid for not less than four hours work. An employer may require from an employee the production of the butt of a picnic ticket. Where such evidence is requested by the employer payment need not be made unless the evidence is produced. Where an employer holds a regular picnic for his/her employees on some other working day during the year such day may be taken as a picnic day in lieu of the day fixed here.

The employer may require the production of a ticket butt as proof of attendance. An employee required to work on picnic day shall be paid at the rate of double time and one half and paid for not less than four hours work.
Picnic Day. No work shall be scheduled on industry picnic day, (i.e., the first Monday of December each year or an alternative gazetted picnic day and as agreed by the parties to this Agreement), without loss of pay to Employees.
