PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. A. 1. Whenever a teacher is absent from duty as a result of personal injury caused by an accident or an assault and/or battery upon the teacher arising out of and in the course of employment, the teacher will be paid full salary (less the amount of any worker's compensation paid for said injury) for the period of such absence not to exceed 189 working days.

PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. Paragraph 1: Worker’s Compensation The Board shall provide Kansas Worker’s Compensation benefits for all teachers. If a teacher has a compensable worker’s compensation claim, the teacher will be paid at 100% for the period of time that temporary leave is available. A teacher may choose to save up to five (5) accumulated temporary leave days. Once tem- porary leave is exhausted, compensation will be reduced to 70% up to a maximum of 180 total calendar days from the date of disability. After 180 days, the teacher’s position may be refilled, but the teacher may be eligible to continue receiving worker’s compensation benefits at the reduced rate of the statutory maximum.

Whenever an administrator is absent from school as a result of bodily injury caused by an accident arising out of and in the course of his/her employment, s/he shall be paid his/her full salary of time less the amount of any workmen's compensation award made for temporary disability due to said injury, and no part of such absence shall be charged to his/her annual or accumulated sick leave.

Whenever a teacher is absent from school as a result of personal injury caused by an accident or assault occurring in the course of his employment, he/she may use the accumulated sick leave he/she has to his credit. A teacher may take such of this accumulated sick leave as, when added to the amount of any workers compensation disability allowance actually received, will result in the payment to him/her of his full salary.
PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. Whenever a teacher is absent from school because of personal injury resulting from an assault occurring on school property or at a school-sponsored event and suffered in relation to the performance of a responsibility or assigned duty, the teacher will be paid full salary less the amount of any worker’s compensation or disability insurance received due to such injury until the termination of the employment contract or the end of the school year, whichever occurs first. No part of such covered absence will be chargeable to annual sick leave. The board shall, however, have the right to have the teacher examined by a physician designated by the board for the purpose of establishing the length of time the teacher may be absent, and the board shall make its decision on the basis of the professional opinion of said physician. The board, in its discretion and upon investigation of all facts of the incident, shall provide such support as is statutorily permissible for any assault upon a teacher acting in the discharge of official school duties.

For the first thirty (30) work days, no part of such absence will be charged to his/her accumulated sick leave. Thereafter, the teacher may elect to use accumulated sick time or the sick leave bank (if eligible) to make up the difference between any workers’ compensation and his/her full salary. For injuries resulting from assault or which are construction related, a teacher will be paid his/her full salary, less the amount of any workmen's compensation award made for temporary disability due to said injury and no part of such absence will be charged to his/her accumulated sick leave.

PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. All personnel are covered by Workmen's Compensation for any accident occurring in the performance of their employment. Time covered by Workmen's Compensation is not deducted under Leave Policy.
PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. The Committee agrees that the provisions of Chapter 152, Section 69, General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts providing for benefits of employees or their dependents in the event of incapacity or death arising out of employment shall be accepted and applied to members. A teacher receiving Workers’ Compensation benefits for as long as the latter benefit payments continue, provided that the said difference shall be charged, on an appropriate proportional basis, against the sick leave benefits to which the said teacher may be entitled.
PERSONAL INJURY BENEFITS. Whenever the Principal is absent from school as a result of personal injury caused by an accident or assault occurring in the course of her employment, she will be paid her full salary (less the amount of any workmen's compensation award made for temporary disability due to said injury) for the period of such absence. The difference in pay between workmen's compensation award and full pay will be charged off to the Principal's annual or accumulated sick leave.
