Personal Equipment. Personal equipment is subject to reimbursement only if the loss was occasioned by the unlawful forced entry of another into the classroom, or theft of the equipment by a student. The maximum claim shall be limited to two hundred fifty dollars ($250). To be eligible for reimbursement, the Bargaining Unit member must complete a District Personal Equipment Authorization form when the equipment is brought to school. This form shall be made available to the Bargaining Unit members and shall be provided to the Association by July 1 of each year. The item must be accurately described and include the original date of purchase and purchase price. This form must be signed by the site administrator prior to the date of the loss for the item to be included under this section. A police report shall be filed prior to filing the claim.

Jumeirah College would like to recommend to parents to purchase a personal device. Hardware may be provided within departments and the library should students need access in the case of a student forgets/misplaces their BYOD and do not have their own devices to work with.
