Common use of Periodic Leave Clause in Contracts

Periodic Leave. on out-of-town projects of over fifty (50) calendar days duration will be provided by the Employer every forty (40) calendar days. When the entitlement to such leave is earned and desired, the Employer shall provide the standard transportation and expenses to the point of departure and back to the job. The extent of the leave shall be for a minimum of five (5) days to a maximum of one (1) week, or a number of days mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer's representative. The timing of the leave shall also be decided by mutual agreement. In no event will an employee receive leave unless he actually returns to his place of departure. Living-out-allowance shall not be paid during leave periods.
