Percentage Local Use Sample Clauses

The Percentage Local Use clause defines the proportion of a product, service, or resource that must be sourced, produced, or utilized within a specific local area or jurisdiction. In practice, this clause may require that a certain percentage of materials, labor, or components come from local suppliers or that a portion of the final output is consumed locally. Its core function is to promote local economic development, ensure compliance with local content regulations, or support community interests by mandating a minimum level of local participation or benefit.
Percentage Local Use. Upon request of either Party, each Party will report to the other an accurate Percentage Local Usage (“PLU”) to determine the amount of Local Traffic minutes to be billed to the other Party unless the billing Party is able to track Local Traffic usage. For purposes of developing the PLU, each Party shall consider every Local Traffic call and every non-Local Traffic call, excluding Transit Traffic. Requests to calculate or recalculate PLU shall be made no more frequently than every twelve (12) months. Notwithstanding the foregoing, where the terminating Party has message recording technology that identifies the jurisdiction of traffic terminated as defined in this Agreement, such information shall be utilized to determine the appropriate Local Traffic usage compensation to be paid, if any, in lieu of PLU at the terminating Party’s option.
