Pencil Booking Policy Clause Samples
A Pencil Booking Policy establishes the terms under which a tentative reservation, or 'pencil booking,' is made for a service, venue, or resource. Typically, this policy outlines how long a provisional booking is held before it must be confirmed or released, and may specify the process for prioritizing or converting pencil bookings to firm commitments. Its core function is to manage availability efficiently and reduce scheduling conflicts by clarifying the status and handling of unconfirmed reservations.
