PAYMENT - UNUSED LEAVE. Upon an employee’s death or retirement from the City’s service, the City shall pay the employees will be paid for a portion of their the employee’s accumulated Sick Leave as follows, based on the employee’s years of service. Years of Service Percentage/ Maximum Hours 0-9 years continuous service: 0 hours 10 years continuous service: 25% up to 200 hours 11 years continuous service: 27.5% up to 220 hours 12 years continuous service: 30% up to 240 hours 13 years continuous service: 32.5% up to 260 hours 14 years continuous service: 35% up to 280 hours 15 years continuous service: 37.5% up to 300 hours 16 years continuous service: 40% up to 320 hours 17 years continuous service: 42.5% up to 340 hours 18 years continuous service: 45% up to 360 hours 19 years continuous service: 47.5% up to 380 hours 20 years continuous service: 50% up to 400 hours a) 10-19 years of service: Eight (8) hours for each thirty-two (32) hours accrued to amaximum payment of two hundred (200) hours.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Payment for Unused Sick Leave a. An employee with less than ten (10) years of continuous University service, as defined herein, who separates from the University shall not be paid for any unused sick leave. For employees appointed on or before 1/7/03 University service includes continuous employment by the University or the State of Florida.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Pay for Unused Sick Leave Unused sick leave not to exceed 70 days will be paid at the rate of $50 per day when the teacher retires or leaves U.S.D. 506 employment, provided the teacher has a minimum of 10 years of service in U.S.D. 506. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.

  • Aggregate Leave The aggregate amount of leave of absence from employment that may be taken by an employee under Article 21.1 and 21.2 in respect of the birth or adoption of any one child shall not exceed fifty-two (52) weeks, except as provided under Article 21.1(f) and/or 21.2(d). Where an employee is granted total maternity leave under Articles 21.1(a) and 21.1(f) of greater than fifty-two (52) weeks, the employee shall not be entitled to parental leave under Article 21.2.

  • Accumulated Leave Employees may accumulate vacation leave to a maximum of forty (40) hours over and above the employee's maximum annual earning rate. No additional vacation leave shall be earned until such time as the employee=s accumulated vacation leave drops below the stated maximum. In such event, the accumulation of vacation leave will again commence, but in no event shall it exceed forty (40) hours over and above the employee=s maximum earning rate.

  • Call Back From Vacation (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency.

  • Deduction from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days absent for sick leave.

  • Annual Leave Entitlement 35.1.1 Annual leave is provided for in the NES. It does not apply to Casual Employees. Except for Casual Employees and Shift workers, Employees will be entitled to four (4) weeks (152 hours) of paid annual leave for each year of service with the Company.
