Payment and Contract Price. Payment The Authority shall pay the Contractor the Contract Price, in accordance with the Pricing and Payment Schedule Interest shall be payable by the Authority on the late payment of any undisputed sums properly invoiced in accordance with the Late Payments of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Where the Contractor enters into a sub-contract with a supplier or contractor for the purpose of performing its obligations under the Contract, it shall ensure that a provision is included in such a sub-contract which requires payment to be made of all sums due by the Contractor to the sub-contractor within a specified period not exceeding 30 days from the receipt of a valid invoice provided always that the Contractor has been paid by the Authority. Recovery of Sums Due Wherever any sum of money is recoverable from or payable by the Contractor, the Authority may deduct that sum from any sum due, or which at any later time may become due to the Contractor under the Contract or under any other agreement with the Authority. STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS AND REGULATIONS Prevention of Corruption The Contractor shall not offer, give, or agree to give anything, to any person an inducement or reward for doing, refraining from doing, or for having done or refrained from doing, any act in relation to the obtaining or execution of the Contract or for showing or refraining from showing favour or disfavour to any person in relation to the Contract.
