Pay Warrant Errors. If an employee receives a pay warrant which has an error in the amount of compensation to be received and if this error occurred as a result of a mistake by the Auditor-Controller's Department, it is the policy of the Auditor-Controller's Department that the error will be corrected and a new warrant issued within forty-eight (48) hours, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from the time the Department is made aware of and verifies that the pay warrant is in error. If the pay warrant error has occurred as a result of a mistake by an employee (e.g. payroll clerk) other than the employee who is receiving the pay, the error will be corrected as soon as possible from the time the department is made aware that pay warrant is in error.
