Pay Period The term “pay period” denotes compensation earned during the first (1st) day through the fifteenth (15th) day of each calendar month, or compensation earned during the sixteenth (16th) day through the last day of each calendar month. There shall be twenty four (24) pay periods in each calendar year.
Group Life Insurance The Hospital shall contribute one hundred percent (100%) toward the monthly premium of HOOGLIP or other equivalent group life insurance plan in effect for eligible full-time employees in the active employ of the Hospital on the eligibility conditions set out in the existing Agreements.

Family Care Employees may use vacation leave for care of family members as required by the Family Care Act, WAC 296-130.
Dependent Life Insurance In the event of the death of your spouse or dependent child from any cause whatsoever, while you and your dependents are insured under the plan, the insurance company will pay you $10,000 in respect of your spouse and $5,000 in respect of each insured dependent child. This applies to those employees with family health coverage only.
Pay Plan The minimum rate and maximum rate of pay for each classification in each bargaining unit will be established per the pay range assignments found in Appendix A.
Paid Up Life Policy At age sixty-five (65) or the date of retirement, an employee who has carried optional employee life insurance for the five (5) consecutive years immediately preceding the date of the employee’s retirement or age sixty-five (65), whichever is later, shall receive a post-retirement paid-up life insurance policy in an amount equal to fifteen
Retiree Life Insurance Employees who retire under the Monroe County Employees' Retirement System shall be eligible for $4,000.00 term life insurance. All employees hired by the Employer on or after October 1, 2007 shall not be eligible for Retiree Life Insurance.
Benefit Eligibility For purposes of the Benefit Plan entitlement, common-law and same sex relationships will apply as defined.
Premium Pay “Premium Pay” is a special pay rate for working during times that are less desirable, such as weekends, holidays or late shifts. The City will not pay the Consultant Premium Pay.
