Patient Rooms. Within ninety (90) days of the effective date of this Agreement, the Hospital will make portable visual alarms available for Patient rooms when a Patient or Companion who is deaf or hard of hearing is residing in or is anticipated to spend significant periods of time in such a room. This requirement only applies to those Patient rooms in which hearing Patients are reasonably able to hear an audible alarm, whether the audible speaker is located in the room itself, in the hallway, or in another relatively close location. The Hospital shall ensure that each Patient room into which a visual alarm is to be placed complies with the Standards set forth in Schedule B hereto. The Hospital shall not be required to provide portable visual alarms in a Patient room if a person who may suffer from seizures that may be triggered by a visual alarm is reasonably expected to spend significant amounts of time in the room. 44. The Hospital will develop written evacuation procedures within thirty (30) days of this Agreement which outline the evacuation protocol for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Patient Rooms. UUHC shall make a TTY device available to Patients and/or Companions who have hearing, vision, or speech impairments upon arrival in a patient room.
Patient Rooms. MHS shall make TTY/TDD devices, Video Relay Service/Captel equipped laptops, and amplified handsets (portable communication devices) available to Patients and/or Companions who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have speech disabilities upon arrival in a Patient room.
Patient Rooms. DCH shall make a TTY device available to Patients and Companions upon arrival in a patient room.

  • Outpatient Dental Anesthesia Services This plan covers anesthesia services received in connection with a dental service when provided in a hospital or freestanding ambulatory surgical center and: • the use of this is medically necessary; and • the setting in which the service is received is determined to be appropriate. This plan also covers facility fees associated with these services.

  • Patients The Dentist shall accept Covered Persons as patients as reasonably permitted by the Dentist's patient load and appointment calendar. The Dentist will provide Covered Dental Services to Covered Persons on the same basis as to the Dentist's other patients (for example: scheduling, quality of service, and fee charges). The Dentist will be solely responsible to Covered Persons for dental advice and treatment; SDC will have no control over Dentist's practice or the dentist-patient relationship.

  • Patient A patient is defined as those persons for whom the Physician shall provide Services, and who are signatories to, or listed on the documents attached as Appendix 1, and incorporated by reference, to this agreement.

  • Patient Care Resident shall participate in safe, effective, and compassionate patient care, under supervision, commensurate with Resident's level of advancement and responsibility.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Screening 3.13.1 Refuse containers located outside the building shall be fully screened from adjacent properties and from streets by means of opaque fencing or masonry walls with suitable landscaping.

  • Skilled Nursing Facilities a. The following Health Care Services may be Covered Services when you are a patient in a Skilled Nursing Facility: i. room and board;

  • Surgery Services and Mastectomy Related Treatment This plan provides benefits for mastectomy surgery and mastectomy-related services in accordance with the Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 and Rhode Island General Law 27-20-29 et seq. For the member receiving mastectomy-related benefits, coverage will be provided in a manner determined in consultation with the attending physician, physician assistant, or an advance practice registered nurse and the patient, for: • all stages of reconstruction of the breast on which the mastectomy was performed; • surgery and reconstruction of the other breast to produce a symmetrical appearance; • prostheses; and • treatment of physical complications at all stages of the mastectomy, including lymphedema.   • Outpatient If you receive dialysis services in a hospital's outpatient unit or in a dialysis facility, we cover the use of the treatment room, related supplies, solutions, drugs, and the use of the dialysis machine. In Your Home If you receive dialysis services in your home and the services are under the supervision of a hospital or outpatient facility dialysis program, we cover the purchase or rental (whichever is less, but never to exceed our allowance for purchase) of the dialysis machine, related supplies, solutions, drugs, and necessary installation costs. Related Exclusions If you receive dialysis services in your home, this agreement does NOT cover: • installing or modifying of electric power, water and sanitary disposal or charges for these services; • moving expenses for relocating the machine; • installation expenses not necessary to operate the machine; or • training you or members of your family in the operation of the machine. This agreement does NOT cover dialysis services when received in a doctor's office.

  • Radiation Therapy/Chemotherapy Services This plan covers chemotherapy and radiation services. Respiratory Therapy This plan covers respiratory therapy services. When respiratory services are provided in your home, as part of a home care program, durable medical equipment, supplies, and oxygen are covered as a durable medical equipment service.
