Patient Care Responsibilities. The parties agree that AFFILIATE and its employees and agents, including in part the attending physicians, have independent discretion to make professional judgments relating to the delivery of health care services and that TUH shall neither have nor exercise control or direction over the manner in which AFFILIATE and its employees and agents, including in part the attending physicians, deliver or supervise the health care services provided to the patients of AFFILIATE. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the parties further agree that AFFILIATE, its employees and agents, including in part the attending physicians, shall assume responsibility for the provision and supervision of any medical care provided to patients of AFFILIATE in which each RESIDENT is involved.

Patient Care Responsibilities. In the event of expiration, non- renewal or termination, UW Medicine shall cooperate fully with County (consistent with Applicable Law and recognized professional services) to vacate buildings if needed and provide continuity of care to UW Medicine’s patients at Medical Center by safely transferring patients to other sites where University Personnel are authorized to practice. UW Medicine shall not abandon any patient in need of continued care who was under UW Medicine’s care as of termination or expiration. As part of the Parties' obligation to cooperate under this Section 10.9 (Patient Care Responsibilities), the County, including its successor service providers, and University agree to abide by the patient’s choice to either remain in the care of the Medical Center or remain in the care of UW Medicine at other sites where University Personnel are authorized to practice.

Only Practitioners with clinical privileges shall be directly responsible for patient diagnosis and treatment; provided, however, that residents, interns, and medical students in approved teaching programs may diagnose and treat patients, if appropriately supervised by physician members of the Medical Staff, including the teaching faculty.
Patient Care Responsibilities. SJCFR and its providers shall conduct a physical exam of its patients for all diagnoses, treatment, and care provided to patients of SJCFR who receive Telestroke Services. SJCFR and its providers shall abide by the Telestroke Services protocols established by Mayo, as amended from time to time. SJCFR is responsible for obtaining the necessary consents and authorizations which shall be included in the SJCFR’s patient’s permanent medical record.

  • Specific Responsibilities In addition to its overall responsibility for monitoring and providing a forum to discuss and coordinate the Parties’ activities under this Agreement, the JSC shall in particular:

Contractor shall perform national criminal history checks for Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and 10-panel drug screening tests on all prospective employees performing work under this RFP or coming onto a CMHA property and any resulting contract and provide summaries of the results to the Authority if requested. For the purposes of this section, the term “employees” includes contractor. Prospective employees whose criminal background check discloses a misdemeanor or felony involving crimes of moral turpitude, sexual offenses or harm to persons or property shall not be employed to perform work under this RFP or any resulting contract. Contractor is required to perform drug screening of all employees and to ensure acceptable test results. Criminal history and drug screening checks will be completed at the sole expense of the contractor. Any employee of the Contractor suspected of being under the influence of drugs and or alcohol will be reported to the appropriate personnel at CMHA and/or other local law enforcement. If the employee is determined to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol in any form or manner, or believed by proper authority to be dealing in illicit sale of alcohol or drugs they will be removed and shall not be allowed to return to any job site on the Authority’s property. The Contractor’s contract may be suspended and/or terminated should such a situation occur or if the Contractor fails to submit results pursuant to this section.
