Paths and Path-Creation Tools. In the absence of system for creating paths at this stage of the PATHS project, we have used a variety of alternative means of understanding what the paths people might create would look like and how they would be created. To this end, we have reviewed a number of cultural heritage paths that are freely available online, as well as some of the software available that might be able to support path-creation activities. The latter are discussed in more detail in report D1.2 State of the Art, although a few salient findings are summarised here. In addition, the preliminary user experiments documented in Section 7 of this report provide some early indications on the types of paths that might be created using PATHS and the processes involved.
