Common use of Patent License Clause in Contracts

Patent License. Supplier, as part consideration for this Agreement and without further cost to Buyer, hereby grants to Buyer an irrevocable, non-exclusive, paid-up world-wide right and license to make, have made, use, and sell any inventions derivative works, improvements, enhancements, or intellectual property (the "Inventions"') made by or for Supplier in the performance of this Agreement. Supplier shall cause any employee, consultant, contractor or other persons who provides work for hire to Supplier to assign to Supplier for licensing as above of any such inventions. In addition, Buyer shall be entitled to license Buyer's customers to use such inventions during the operation of Buyer's products.
