Pastor Date. Chairperson of Congregational Board Date Appendix 1: Review, Renewal and Termination Terms for a performance review of this pastor: The congregation or its designated representatives will complete the review with its findings at least 6 months prior to end date (see Section 1(b) of this Agreement; and/or The congregation or its designated representatives may conduct other periodic reviews of performance so long as the terms of notice are met should the need arise with regard to this Agreement. Terms for renewal of the Agreement: A renewal may be offered based on the findings and recommendations of the performance review; and A renewal is dependent on meeting the provisions of congregational decision making regarding the employment of a pastor. Many congregations have special provisions beyond a simple majority for the calling of a pastor and the renewal of the employment relationship. Despite any other provision of this Agreement, the Congregation may terminate the Pastor’s employment without cause, at any time, by providing the Pastor with the greater of: a minimum of three months to a maximum of six months (as determined by the Congregation in its sole and unfettered discretion) of written notice or pay in lieu of notice, which pay shall be on a salary continuation basis; or notice or pay in lieu of notice equivalent to all payments or entitlements in accordance with the standards set out in the Manitoba Employment Standards Act, as may be amended from time to time. In the event that Appendix 1 3) a) or (b) are implemented, the Congregation will continue to make whatever benefit plan contributions are required to be made in order to maintain the benefits to which the pastor would have been entitled, had the pastor continued to be employed during the applicable notice period, including the continuation of the pastor’s benefits beyond the minimum period (if applicable) the pastor may be entitled under the relevant legislation (Employment Standards Act of Manitoba).
