Past Grievances Clause Samples
The "Past Grievances" clause defines how complaints or disputes that arose before the current agreement are to be handled. Typically, this clause clarifies whether such prior issues are considered resolved, waived, or remain actionable under the new contract. For example, it may state that neither party can bring up old claims or seek remedies for incidents that occurred before the agreement's effective date. Its core function is to prevent parties from re-litigating or raising old disputes, thereby ensuring a clean slate and reducing the risk of ongoing or unexpected liabilities.
