Parts Understudied. All parts and/or roles except star roles, "bit" parts, and one-person shows, shall be covered by an understudy. Equity shall have sole authority to determine whether an understudy is needed for a star role. In order to comply with the Rule, the Producer will be permitted to employ non- professionals who are not members of any 4-A’s union. A non-professional affidavit must be filed for each non-professional. A non-professional understudy may not perform more than 14 consecutive performances.
