Partial-Load Continuing Appointment. 13.6.1 A partial-load continuing appointment is defined as one in which a full-time continuing member of the bargaining unit, at her or his request, assumes a permanent reduction of duties and responsibilities, pursuant to the remainder of this Article. 13.6.2 A partial-load continuing appointment in an instructional classification is a position in which the duties and responsibilities are a specified percentage, which shall be greater than or equal to 50% but less than or equal to 85%, of the specified maxima for a full-time continuing employee. This specified percentage shall be referred to as the partial load and shall be included in the employee’s revised offer of appointment. 13.6.3 A partial-load continuing appointment in a non-instructional classification is a position in which the duties and responsibilities are less than those of a full-time continuing employee. The partial load is a specified number of assigned duty hours in each college year and shall be greater than or equal to 910 duty hours per year but fewer than 1232 duty hours per year. This specified percentage shall be referred to as the partial load and shall be included in the employee’s revised offer of appointment.
Partial-Load Continuing Appointment. A partial-load continuing appointment is an appointment without term to a position which is at least 50% but not greater than 85% of a commensurate full-time position. A partial-load continuing appointment shall continue until the employee retires, resigns, or is otherwise terminated pursuant to this Agreement. Instructional employees shall be appointed to a partial-load continuing appointment only pursuant to Clause 13.6.
