Part Time/Shared Time Positions. In its sole discretion, the District may allow members to serve in less than a full- time instructional and instructional support position under the following condi- tions: Principals in the individual schools shall reserve the right to determine whether and how many part time/shared time positions shall be available in accordance with guidelines and policies established by the District and the Union. An employee wishing to serve in a less than full time position must agree to work between two (2) and four (4) days per week (.40-.80). A part time/shared time employee shall be subject to the rating and evaluation process(es) applicable to full time employees. An employee newly hired by the District in a less than full time position shall be hired at the pro-rated salary commensurate with his/her degree level, and be af- forded all salary incentives in accordance with this Agreement (i.e. outside teach- ing experience, substitute service). An employee serving in a less than full time position shall receive sick days on a pro- rated basis consistent with his/her work schedule (two [2] – four [4] days, .40-.80). A part time/shared time employee shall be required to participate in parent/teacher conferences and staff meetings. Certified part time/shared time employees shall not be entitled to any health in- surance coverage.

Part Time/Shared Time Positions. This section shall not apply to retired teachers seeking re-employment under Michigan law covering retired teachers returning to work. The following conditions apply to employees and/or potential employees who wish to serve in less than full time instructional and instructional support personnel positions. Unless specifically stated, no other provision of this Agreement shall be affected.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee is an employee who is engaged to work less than an average of 38 ordinary hours per week and whose hours of work are reasonably predictable.

  • Part-time Scheduling Subject to Section B of this Article, the Employer and the Association endorse the principle that less than full time equivalent ("FTE") positions shall, within reason, be expected to work a biweekly work period that equates to an eighty (80) hour work period multiplied by the position's FTE. (e.g., 80 hours @ .75 = 60 hours). It is further understood by both parties that ASF Members assigned to less than a FTE position may be required, during the peak work periods, to exceed their normal biweekly work period. FLSA non-exempt ASF Members who work a part-time schedule will earn overtime for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a work week. The Employer agrees to review any ASF position that is less than one (1) FTE if the Association can demonstrate that the position has regularly been required to work a work period that substantially exceeds the normal work period as defined above, and adjust the FTE of the respective position as deemed appropriate by the Employer.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.
