Common use of Parenting Leave Clause in Contracts

Parenting Leave. A. A Parenting Leave of absence will be granted each employee covered by this Agreement who becomes pregnant. Such leave will begin no later than the date the employee’s doctor states in writing, or once it is established by the process set forth in Paragraph D herein, it is established that she should discontinue working. An employee shall notify the Chief of Police immediately upon determination of pregnancy.
