Overtime/Extra Time Compensation Clause Samples
The Overtime/Extra Time Compensation clause establishes the terms under which employees are paid for hours worked beyond their standard schedule. Typically, this clause specifies the rate of pay for overtime hours, such as time-and-a-half or double time, and may outline the conditions that qualify work as overtime, like exceeding 40 hours in a week or working on holidays. Its core function is to ensure employees are fairly compensated for additional work and to provide clear guidelines for both employers and employees, thereby reducing disputes over pay for extra hours worked.
