Common use of Other Observances Clause in Contracts

Other Observances. Employees may attend any on-campus celebrations and/or commemorations, and/or observe moments of silence as applicable, for the following: National Day of Mourning National Indigenous Peoples Day Remembrance Day International Women’s Day Montreal Massacre Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People (MMIWG2s) International Workers’ Day Quebec City Mosque Shooting Memorial (January 29th) Black Lives Matter LGBTQ2S+ Pride or Remembrance National Day for Truth and Reconciliation In attending any such events, employees will notify their supervisors and exercise reasonable judgment having regard for the needs of their research and any teaching responsibilities.
