Organizational Security. 7.1 Any unit member who is a member of the Association at the effective date of this Article shall remain a member for the duration of this agreement. Any unit member who applies for membership shall sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues to the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct appropriately prorated deductions from the regular salary checks of the unit member. Deductions for unit members who signed such authorizations after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete payment by the end of the school year.
