Common use of Order to Stop Work Clause in Contracts

Order to Stop Work. The Owner may, by written Stop Work Order to the Professional at any time, and without notice to any surety, require the Professional to stop all or any part of the work called for by this Contract. This Order shall be for a specified period not exceeding 90 days after the Order is delivered to the Professional, unless the parties agree to any further period. Any such Order shall be identified specifically as a Stop Work Order issued pursuant to this clause. Upon receipt of such an Order, the Professional shall comply with its terms and take all reasonable steps to minimize the occurrence of costs allocable to work covered by the Order during the period of work stoppage. Before the Stop Work Order expires, or within any further period to which the parties shall have agreed, the Owner shall either: (a) cancel the Stop Work Order; or (b) terminate the work covered by such Order as provided in the "Termination for Default" clause or the "Termination for Convenience" clause of this Contract.

Any such Order order shall be identified specifically as a Stop Work Order stop work order issued pursuant to this clause. Upon receipt of such an Orderorder, the Professional Broker shall forthwith comply with its terms and take all reasonable steps to minimize the occurrence of costs allocable to work covered by the Order order during the period of work stoppage. Before the Stop Work Order stop work order expires, or within any further period to which the parties shall have agreed, the Owner DFA shall either: (a) : cancel the Stop Work Orderstop work order; or (b) or terminate the work covered by such Order order as provided in the "Termination for Default" clause or the "Termination for Convenience" clause of this Contractcontract.

Upon receipt of such an Orderorder, the Professional Consultant shall forthwith comply with its terms and take all reasonable steps to minimize the occurrence of costs allocable to work covered by the Order order during the period of work stoppage. Before the Stop Work Order stop work order expires, or within any further period to which the parties shall have agreed, the Owner Board shall either: (a) 1. cancel the Stop Work Orderstop work order; or (b) 2. terminate the work covered by such Order order as provided in the "“Termination for Default" ” clause or the "“Termination for Convenience" ” clause of this Contract.

Any such Order order shall be identified specifically as a Stop Work Order stop work order issued pursuant to this clause. Upon receipt of such an Orderorder, the Professional Contractor shall forthwith comply with its terms and take all reasonable steps to minimize the occurrence of costs allocable to the work covered by the Order order during the period of work stoppage. This Order order shall be for a specified period not exceeding 90 ninety (90) days after the Order order is delivered to the ProfessionalAuditor, unless the parties agree to any further period. Any such Order order shall be identified specifically as a Stop Work Order stop work order issued pursuant to this clause. Upon receipt of such an Orderorder, the Professional Auditor shall forthwith comply with its terms and take all reasonable steps to minimize the occurrence of costs allocable to work covered by the Order order during the period of work stoppage. Before the Stop Work Order stop work order expires, or within any further period to which the parties shall have agreed, the Owner Board shall either: (a) : cancel the Stop Work Orderstop work order; or (b) or terminate the work covered by such Order order as provided in the "Termination for Default" clause or the "Termination for Convenience" clause of this Contract.
