The result will be a single energy value representing the energy usage of the device over the course of an entire year: its Total Energy Consumption. Standby mode measurement should be taken at least 30 minutes after the device enters such a mode. The Total Energy Consumption of a CSTB is compared to its Total Energy Allowance to determine its compliance with this Voluntary Agreement.
