Operational Costs Not Included In Revenue Hour Rate. Operational costs not included in the revenue hour rate are pass printing, overnight and weekend bus storage wireless internet access fees, major engine and transmission repairs and replacement not caused by operator error, dedicated customer service phone line, park and ride lot lease(s), Surety bond premiums or Letter of Credit costs for CONTRACTOR, and the per mile cost of using an alternate vehicle during revenue hour service under Section 1.F Vehicles. Those costs will be included on the monthly invoice as a pass through cost and be reimbursed by CITY. Fuel costs are also not included in the revenue hour rate. CAE buses may be fueled from any source. If fuel is purchased by CONTRACTOR through facilities owned and operated by the County of Santa Barbara, SBCAG shall pay the fuel cost directly under a separate Memorandum of Understanding with the CITY. If fuel is purchased by CONTRACTOR from any other source, the cost of fuel will be included on the monthly invoice as a pass through cost and be reimbursed by CITY. CONTRACTOR is not responsible for labor and repair costs to bring CAE buses up to California Highway Patrol or Department of Transportation (“CHP/DOT”) standards at the start of the contract term. Prior to transfer, CAE buses shall be inspected by a third party independent inspector approved by both the current service provider and the CONTRACTOR to verify that buses are up to CHP/DOT standards. CONTRACTOR shall pass through the costs to complete repairs identified in the independent inspection that have not been completed prior to service transfer. Costs shall be on a time and materials basis, with an allowable markup of 15% handling fee on materials. Labor rate shall be $90.00 per hour for the actual hours needed for the repair. CONTRACTOR shall include those costs on monthly invoice to CITY.
