Common use of Operational Conditions Clause in Contracts

Operational Conditions. The Diversion Rules include the following conditions: • All measurements described in this Appendix are in cubic feet per second (cfs); • Diversions will occur at the NERF; • Continuous (e.g., 15-minute to hourly) streamflow gaging will occur on-site to measure inflows to the NERF that define diversion rates; • Diversions will occur on a sub-daily timestep (specific time step to be determined) due to variable frequency drive diversion pumps and on-site streamflow gaging; • The minimum instantaneous flow that can be diverted is 5 cfs based on assumed pump constraints; and, • The maximum instantaneous flow that can be diverted is 300 cfs based on the diversion tunnel capacity.
