Common use of OPERATING MODES Clause in Contracts

OPERATING MODES. The committee would deal with two different types of issues - monitoring/information and recommendations/negotiations. On monitoring issues, the committee would operate on an advisory basis, with decisions being forwarded to the Employee Relations and Pensions Committee, for approval by the Board. On benefit and corresponding financial issues, the committee would divide into a Union- Management relationship, with agreements being sent to the Board through the Employee Relations and Pensions Committee. If no agreement is reached, both positions would go to the Committee for final resolution. The Committee will determine the frequency of meetings.
